Our Solution
We’ve Seen It a Hundred Times..
Manufacturers writing off 10-20% of their revenue to inevitable and increasing returns. They’ve tried 3PLs, refurbishers, remarketers and even in-house repair.
It all results in spending $2 to get $1 back.
Where do they go from there?
Manufacturers either opt to hide their returns in long-term storage or agree to a destroy-in-field program in hopes they won’t end up back in the market. They will.
The problem isn’t with the manufacturer.
It’s with the model.
The only way to obtain any ROI on your returns is through a complete returns solution.
Our Solution
When done well this model consolidates the return lifecycle under one efficient operation, resulting in:
Reduced freight, warehousing, payroll, & other fees.

-
Refurbish
We have the knowledge and drive to refurbish any product deemed economical. We are so good at this, we like to call our products “better than new.”
-
Remarket
Sit back and watch your refurbished product get listed, sold, and shipped through our endless amount of sales channels. Turn previously sunk costs into a brand new revenue stream.
-
Report
Push back on manufacturers and marketplaces with data straight from the people handling your returns, repairs, and refurbished resales.
Let’s Get Into the Details
-
Triage is our receiving department. They take the return pallet or parcel and mine for any and all reference data. The data is then tied to the return on a SKU-to-SKU level so you know every product that was in the return. There is no need for scheduling drop offs, our triage team is always on hand during our dock hours to quickly sort through products so we can start the recovery process.
-
Where economically-viable, we have specialized repair teams who can repair anything from high-end computers to simple mechanical products and everything in between. In addition to boosting our recovery rate, these deep-dive repairs often become extremely valuable for enhanced data.
-
Clearly damaged or defective units are often broken down and harvested for their working parts. By doing this it boosts our repair recovery rate and gives us additional product information. We use this information to aid in customer support for ours and our partner’s customers.
-
With large amounts of product, we can utilize our wholesale channels. This gives us the ability to move through inventory quickly and increase your brand awareness.
-
Something that sets us apart is our retail store. With surprisingly high-volume, this is where we sell our products that have cosmetic defects. While not suited for most retailers, our in-person customers are more than happy to buy these discounted scratch and dent units. Even with a discounted price, we tend to get the highest recovery from our store because we have no shipping or channel fees.
-
We ship out items everyday from orders on over 30 different channels. The orders are sent straight from the warehouse we refurbish them in, removing any extra costs in shipping.
-
Products with a lower average sales price can often sour the refurbishing relationship. Unlike other refurbishers, we push these products straight from triage to our liquidation partners. This gives us instant recovery even on the lowest-value products. During this process, we make sure the best products are filtered out and head straight to the refurbishing process so we never have to sacrifice brand integrity.
-
All of our products come with a 90 day warranty. Through Certified Preloved, our customers are given the opportunity to extend their 90 day warranty to a FREE one year warranty.
-
When we’ve squeezed every possible cent of recovery, all of our defective products are responsibly and safely recycled where possible.

Case Study One
-
Manufacturer was spending $1M+ a year to a warehouse to store their returns. Most of their returns ended up in long-term storage. They made regular attempts to try and liquidate the returns, but this caused several issues
-
Competitiveness in their secondary market causing them having to compete if they tried to boost their returns recovery by refurbishing.
Degrading of brand integrity due to dishonest liquidators selling some of the liquidated product as new.
Very low ROI compared to the effort and cost involved to find liquidation customers.
-
After signing with iRecertify, Manufacturer was saving $1M+ a year, better protected their brands, and received far-enriched data compared to what they were getting before. Manufacturer was able to implement multiple fixes with their factory on previously high-return rate products. The agreement was well worth it before they’d ever even booked a recovery check.
Case Study Two
-
Manufacturer had no real recovery solution so they were stuck with ever increasing storage fees.
-
Due to widespread storage and little control, products were stored in questionable conditions. Which was further decreasing their ability to find an easy recovery solution.
-
Quickly after signing with iRecertify, they were able to offload their storage with multiple 3PLs and unlocked an entirely new level of understanding of their product. Not to mention, the beautiful change of receiving a monthly check instead of a bill for all of their returns.
Case Study Three
-
Sophisticated manufacturer who wholeheartedly tried to tackle their returns problem from every angle.
-
Over the years, they tried 3 different refurbishers, all who happily charged them a refurbishing fee, didn’t provide them “triage” info allowing them to more closely monitor their customers returns, and provided little data other than percentage of defect. Worst of all, after the refurbishers had booked their piece-rate fee, their promises to help them sell never panned out.
They then made the painful decision to switch all of their customers to destroy-in-field, with all of the abhorrent costs and loss of market control due to those products inevitably ending up on a liquidation pallet.
-
Our agreement allowed this manufacturer to halt destroy-in-field programs, offload their once stagnant inventory onto us, and find a refurbisher just as motivated as them to achieve a rapid, yet high recovery.
